Standard Specification for Light Sport Category Aircraft Landing Gear Systems
1.1 This specification covers minimum requirements for the design and testing of landing gear systems for light sport category aircraft. The landing gear system is considered to include all energy absorption elements and the primary supporting structures that carry the landing loads into the rest of the aircraft.
1.2 Units—The values given in this standard are in SI units and are to be regarded as standard. Any values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to inch-pound (or other) units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents. Where it may not be clear, some equations provide the units of the result in proximity to the equation.
