IEC 61000-4-15:2010 gives a functional and design specification for flicker measuring apparatus intended to indicate the correct flicker perception level for all practical voltage fluctuation waveforms. Information is presented to enable such an instrument to be constructed.

A method is given for the evaluation of flicker severity on the basis of the output of flickermeters complying with this standard. The flickermeter specifications in this part of IEC 61000 relate only to measurements of 120 V and 230 V, 50 Hz and 60 Hz inputs.

Characteristics of some incandescent lamps for other voltages are sufficiently similar to the values in Table 1 and Table 2, that the use of a correction factor can be applied for those other voltages. Some of these correction factors are provided in the Annex B. Detailed specifications for voltages and frequencies other than those given above, remain under consideration.

The object of this part of IEC 61000 is to provide basic information for the design and the instrumentation of an analogue or digital flicker measuring apparatus. It does not give tolerance limit values of flicker severity.

This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition published in 1997 and its Amendment 1 (2003) and constitutes a technical revision. This new edition, in particular, adds or clarifies the definition of several directly measured parameters, so that diverging interpretations are avoided.

It has the status of a basic EMC publication in accordance with IEC Guide 107.

IEC 60603-11 Ed. 1.0 b:1992 – Connectors for frequencies below 3 MHz for use with printed boards - Part 11: Detail specification for concentric connectors (dimensions for free connectors and fixed connectors).

Covers concentric connectors for use in LF (low-frequency) audio applications such as the interconnection of headphones and microphones in sound system components. Specifies the dimensions, general requirements and tests for such connectors.

IEC 61297 Ed. 1.0 b:1995 – Industrial-process control systems - Classification of adaptive controllers for the purpose of evaluation.

Classifies and defines the terms to be used in describing the different types of adaptive controller. The classifications described are logically a complete series, although it is quite possible that no controller will be available in some of the categories described.

However, many controllers will be classified under more than one category described in this standard.

IEC 60130-17 Ed. 1.0 b:1998 – Connectors for frequencies below 3 MHz - Part 17: Detail specification for interconnection devices which permit multi-directional mating, for use with rechargeable batteries.

Is a connector detail specification for a battery interconnection system for portable computers, cellular telephones and other electronic devices requiring power not to exceed 50 V d.c. SELV (safety extra low voltage).

IEC 60512-99-001 Ed. 1.0 b:2012 – Connectors for electronic equipment - Tests and measurements - Part 99-001: Test schedule for engaging and separating connectors under electrical load - Test 99a: Connectors used in twisted pair communication cabling with remote power.

IEC 60512-99-001:2012 used for the assessment of connectors within the scope of SC 48B that are used in twisted pair communication cabling with remote power, such as ISO/IEC 11801 Class D, or better, balanced cabling in support of IEEE Std 802.3at - 2009 (latest edition (PoE Plus - Power over Ethernet Plus).

The object of this standard is to detail a test schedule to determine the ability of connectors to withstand a minimal number of engagements and separations when an electrical current is being passed through the connector in accordance with IEC 60512-9-3.

IEC 60512-9-3 Ed. 2.0 b:2011 – Connectors for electronic equipment - Tests and measurements - Part 9-3: Endurance tests - Test 9c: Mechanical operation (engaging and separating) with electrical load.

IEC 60512-9-3:2011 defines a standard test method to assess the mechanical and electrical operational endurance, i.e. engaging and separating cycles, of a connector in an operating mode which includes a specified electrical load.

This second edition cancels and replaces Test 9c of IEC 60512-5, issued in 1992, and constitutes a technical revision. The main technical changes with regard to the previous edition are as follows:

  • An additional requirement to 4.1 stating that if more than one electrical circuit is wired for testing, the wiring shall be carried out in a parallel electrical circuit.
  • Subclauses 4.3 through 4.7 were removed and replaced by 4.2 through 4.4.

This publication is to be read in conjunction with IEC 60512-1:2001 and IEC 60512-1-100:2006.
