IEEE 802.11bk-2025
Amendment Standard - Active. Modifications to both the IEEE 802.11 medium access control layer (MAC) and physical layers (PHY) are defined in this amendment. It enhances the Fine Timing Measurement protocol to make use of 320 MHz wide channels available with the IEEE 802.11be PHY and MAC.
This standard defines extensions to positioning mechanisms to support 320 MHz channel operation.
The purpose of this standard is to provide wireless connectivity for fixed, portable, and moving stations within a local area. This standard also offers regulatory bodies a means of standardizing access to one or more frequency bands for the purpose of local area communication.
