The philosophy, design, and implementation (including building displays, testing, training, commissioning, and verification) of human machine interfaces (HMIs) used with electric utility automation systems are covered by this recommended practice.
Additionally, the operation (including maintenance and decommissioning) of such HMIs is provided as a basis within this standard.
This recommended practice applies to, and provides the basis for, the design (including philosophy), implementation (including building displays, testing, and training), operation (including maintenance and decommissioning) of human machine interfaces (HMIs) used with electric utility automation systems.
The purpose of this recommended practice is to recommend an industry-specific process for developing HMIs used with electric utility automation systems.
